About This Item

The First UK printing published by Hamish Hamilton in 1987. The BOOK is in Very Good++ or better condition. A little pushing to the spine ends. The usual encountered toning to the page edges due to the cheap paper stock used. The 'Dedication page' is clean of inscriptions. The WRAPPER is complete and is in near Fine condition. Unfaded to the spine. The wrapper looks very attractive in the removable Brodart archival cover. Signed by the author to the title page. A ticket for the signing event accompanies this title as provenance. A very rare first UK edition from the Carnegie medal winner and former Children's Laureate. Latterly successfully adapted into the screen blockbuster 'Mrs Doubtfire' starring the late Robin Williams. Very scarce. Ashton Rare Books welcomes direct contact.
