The author writes in the preface: This book is an expanded version of a public lecture delivered at a meeting of the International Astronomical Union at Cambridge (Massachusetts) in September 1932...I deal with the view now tentatively held that the whole material universe of stars and galaxies of stars is dispersing, the galaxies scattering apart so as to occupy an ever-incresing volume. Includes a "Who's who in Dan Dare", the first part of an interview with creator Frank Hampson, and a short Dan Dare story set in Mars, 1988. Fine condition in a fine dustwrapper.

There is a frontispiece illustration, and another facing page 6. The titlepage and first few pages of the text are foxed, but the Boards are in very good codition with illustrations on the front cover and spine.

Boards soiled, and endpapers and page edges browned. otherwise in very good condition.
