W. H. Parish, Chicago, 1893. Folio in green cloth. 91 pp. thick card stock. 63 full-page photographs; 19 half-page photographs. Historic images of buildings, churches, residences, landscapes, waterfalls, and mills in Berkshire County, Massachusetts. Originally published in twelve parts which have been bound together here in one volume in a library binding. The boards show moderate wear, heavier along the edges with the corners worn through. A library marking has been rubbed off of the lower spine. The binding is strong. The text block is tight and lightly soiled. There is a blind stamp on the title page reading "Princeton Univ Bibl." No other internal markings. The text and high quality gravure plates are remarkably well-preserved and clean throughout. Typically found incomplete and extremely scarce in any form. Photos are of the actual book you will receive. Ships wrapped in bubble wrap and packed with care in a box.

99 octavos in 1/4 red morocco. There are 54 complete works represented across the 99 volumes, many in multi-volume sets. VG-: the volumes are generally in very good condition. There is some minor rubbing and chipping of the leather on the spines. Boards show edge wear, and there are occasional spots where the paper boards are rubbed. The leather remains strong on the joints throughout the set; bindings are uniformly strong and all boards firmly attached. Text blocks are moderately dust-stained along top edges, otherwise clean, square, and tight throughout the set. The majority of the volumes appear from the generally firm bindings to have never been opened. There is moderate scattered foxing, otherwise the texts remain clean throughout. Bookplates of previous owner, noted historian and author of historical fiction Samuel Shellabarger, are on the front pastedowns.
