Easton Press. Very Good+ with no dust jacket. Hardcover. ; Leather bound books range from very good+ to like new. Ocassional scuffs to gilt page edges, minor rubbing to a leather cover, or minor fraying to the bottom of ribbon page marker. Overall a very nice set. Because of the weight of this set, we cannot ship outside the US. .

Good+. 1917. Stapled wraps. ; Rare. Original Harvest Siftings (pages 1-25) and Harvest Siftings Part II (pages 26-32). Both issues are complete as published. Both are lightly toned with modest soiling and some very short tears. Part II is missing one of the staples and the last page is detached but present. There's a 3" chip in the bottom edge of the last page of part II. As a result, one line is missing from page 31 and 32. .

Rogers and Fowle. Very Good+. 1747. First Edition. Hardcover. ; Complete 2 volume set rebound in late 19th century. Three quarter brown leather bound covers with gilt stamping over marbled boards have modest wear to extremities and rubbing but clean, bright, and in very good+ condition. Boards and spines are straight. Bindings are tight. Marbled end sheets and paste downs very good. Antiquated signature of former owner "John Abbot" on original front end sheet. Pages are modestly toned but clean and in very good condition. .

London: Londinensis Societatis Antiquarium. Good. 1835. Hardcover. ; Elephant folio 15" x 21". Volumes 4, 5, and 6 only. Three quarter leather bound covers with brown stain covers are frayed at corners and spine caps with two missing spine strips and 3 of the 6 boards are detached (but all present). Boards and spines are straight. Bindings are tight. Marbled end sheets and paste down clean and vibrant. Text pages are barely toned, largely free of foxing, with only very sparse, modest soiling and overall in very good condition. Plates range from being untoned to light toning, and from being completely free of foxing to moderate foxing (although those with moderate foxing tends to be more in the margin areas). The plates are overall in very good condition. London: Swan Sonnenschein & Company. Good+ with no dust jacket. 1896. First English Edition; Early Printing. Hardcover. ; Original green cloth cover is frayed at corners and spine caps with light scuffing but clean and in good+ condition. Boards and spine are straight. Book is shaken. Page edges toned with very modest soiling. Split between patterned paste downs and end papers but hinges still strong. Former owner name and address on front patterned end sheet. Pages are lightly toned but clean and very good. .

Alfred Knopf. Good with no dust jacket. 1919. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. ; Half brown cloth cover with tan paper covered boards is frayed at extremities, soiled, and damp stained. Boards and spine are straight. Binding is tight. Half inch tear on front end sheet. Color frontispiece protected by tissue is near pristine. Title page has a 1/8" pen mark near bottom otherwise pristine. Pages and plates have a very faint damp stain along the top margin but doesn't come near the illustrations or text. Pages, plates, and tissues are otherwise clean and in excellent condition. .

Fair. 1852. First Edition. Hardcover. ; Contains the very first national appearance of the writing of Samuel Langhorne Clemens (Mark Twain). "The Dandy Frightening the Squatter" with the byline S. L. C. In Volume II, No. 5. It's a humorous short article and is quite rare. This bound collection is lacking the cover but still bound together. The first few pages are loose with soiling and tattered edges. Beyond the first few pages, the pages are toned with some soiling but in good condition. .

E. Wicksteed. Fair. 1735. Second Edition. Hardcover. ; Mottled calf covers are detached but present with heavy wear. Spines are straight. Bindings are tight. Vintage bookplate affixed to front paste downs along with vintage bookseller's label, The Museum Book Store, London, W. C. Pages are very lightly toned but clean and free of foxing and in very good condition. Volume one is complete with 11 maps and plates (including two large folding maps) . Volume two is complete with 12 plates (including folding plates). All plates and maps are in very good condition. This two volume set makes an excellent candidate for rebinding. .

Charles Scribners. Very Good with no dust jacket. 1925. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. ; First Edition carrying all first issue points: 1925 on title page matching the copyright year; Scribner seal on copyright page; "chatter" on p. 60, line 16; "northern" on p. 119, line 22; "it's" on p. 165, line 16; "away" on p. 165, line 29; "sick in tired" on p. 205, lines 9-10; and "Union Street station" on p. 211, lines 7-8. Green cloth cover is rubbed at corners and spine caps with a couple of very small spots on front and back cover but bright and in very good+ condition. Boards and spine are straight. Binding is tight. Former owner's name on front end sheet which also has an erasure. Pages are toned with light foxing plus very sparse modest soiling and two dog ears. ; First Edition .

Tan marbled leather bound covers are very worn at extremities particularly along hinges and leather on spine strips is crackled. Leather covers have been treated with special leather rot treatment to prevent further deterioration. Boards and spines are straight. Bindings are tight. Marbled end sheets and paste downs have leather and gilt label of "Angus Cooke Col. Sergt 71st Highland L. Inf." on front paste downs. Cooke was a sergeant in the 71st Regiment of Foot in Dundalk, Scotland. He served with the Regiment throughout the Napoleonic Wars in Spain, France, and Belgium. Light foxing to front matter. Pages are lightly toned with sparse modest foxing and in very good condition. Complete with 65 copper engraved plates which includes frontispiece to volume 1. Orange marbled end sheets and paste downs have engraved plate of bookbinder R. Dilworth. Leather and gilt label of "Angus Cooke" also on front paste downs. Half brown morocco leather bound covers with 4 raised bands and brown pebbled boards are worn at extremities with chipping to a couple of the spine strips and damp damage to the boards of volume IV but overall in good+ condition. Boards and spines are straight. Bindings are tight. Gilt pages edges all the way around are scuffed but bright. Marbled end sheets and paste downs clean, bright, and glossy. Frontispieces of the presidents protected by tissue. Pages are lightly toned but clean and very good. .

Hardcover. 0590757350 . ; Quarter black cloth cover with pictorial boards is islightly toned with wear to spine caps and modest soiling but in very good condition. Boards and spine are straight. Binding is tight. Very faint modest thumbprint on about 4 pages otherwise pages are clean and very good. Dust jacket is worn at the extremities with several short tears, toned, and soiled with erasure of former owner's name on front flap. First Edition/Second Issue points include: Publisher's price of $3.50 on DJ flap with '40-80' and 1163 and lower corner clipped; 2 paragraphs rather than 3 on front flap (first printing calls for 3) ; gold foil Caldecott medal on front panel and mention of Caldecott award on back flap; Title page carries correct publication information including: Harper & Row, copyright 1963, LCCC number 63-21253. .

Maroon cloth covers with black and gilt embossed decor are rubbed at corners with lightly crushed spine caps otherwise clean and near pristine. Boards and spines are straight. Bindings are tight. Pages are toned but clean and near pristine. Complete with 320 color illustrations including 3 maps one of which is a fold-out. Dust jackets are toned, heavily soiled, and tattered and torn at the extremities. DJs protected by a brand new, clear, acid-free mylar cover. We add mylar covers to all books with DJs to preserve the DJs and add luster to magnify their beauty. This is copy number 455 from a limited edition of only 525 copies and signed by Pogany on the limitations page. Vellum cover with gilt embossed decor is toned with modest wear but in very good+ condition. Front board is warped as occurs commonly with vellum bindings. Spine is straight. Binding is tight.
