A classic Beat Generation era issue, containing a selection from Burroughs's Naked Lunch, plus two letters by Allen Ginsberg (mentions Kerouac and Corso), prose by Philip Whalen, etc. Largish price stamp to cover (no other markings), light overall wear, a few pages have light marginal spots.

While the year is not given, the date suggests this was from 1968 (presumably the referenced Cape volume was delayed). A bit of toning and general wear.

INSCRIBED by Irving Layton on the half-title page (LOVE in the title is indicated as "My favourite four-letter word"). Classic anthology, includes 5 poems by Leonard Cohen plus work by other eminent contributors. Owner name to half-title, no other markings, a bit of general wear.

Neat previous owner name, dated 1964, on the front blank free endpaper, otherwise a very good copy throughout. Rubbed to the edges of the boards but overall a good copy in publishers original boards with photo of John by Robert Freeman on the front.
