Johannes Secundus, also known as Joannes Everaerts was a 16th-century Dutch poet. He wrote several romantic elegies, odes and songs, letters, and epistles most of which deal primarily with love and romantic behavior. He is best known for his treatise on kissing which explores the erotic behaviors and the symbols that kissing represents.

This 1651 Latin edition was published in Leiden and features the entirety of the known works of Secundus.

o Henri Lambert (1862–1934) was a Belgian engineer and glass works owner at Charleroi near Brussels. His glass works were the largest in the world in that time.

o He was one of the first occupied with social economy. Notably, he spoke Walloon with his blue-collar workers, which was exceptional in that time.

o He was a prolific writer (in French) of articles for newspapers, political journals, brochures, and books on political philosophy. Several of his works have been translated into German and English.
