First UK edition 1st printing, Fine book in Fine 1st state dust jacket, multiple prize winning novel, new and unread beautiful copy signed by Levy on the title page. This is NOT the 2005 special reprint!

First edition 1st printing, Near Fine, unread copy of author’s first mystery. Book has push/bump at top of spine, in a Near Fine jacket with touch of edge wear and several spots of color loss at corners, most significant of which is a 1/16 inch circular spotat lower front corner, a tight unread copy with a publishers promo post card laid-in. Winner of Agatha and Macavity awards.

First edition 1st printing, Near Fine book with pushed bottom of spine and bump and pushing top of spine, bit of light soiling and rubbing page edges, tiny spot bottom page edges; in a Very Good to Near Fine jacket with slight chipping at spine ends, light wear along folds and corners with some color loss, slight sun yellowing on spine and flap edges. Very nice copy of Eastlake's first book.

First UK edition of Abbey’s fourth novel titled Black Sun in the U.S. Very Good to Near Fine book with crimping at bottom of spine, light offsetting to paste downs and facing end pages, two light brown smudges top of back board, and touch of dusting top page edges; in a Near Fine jacket with slight edge wear, pushed with slight color loss bottom of spine and bit of rub and curling top edges of flaps. Abbey’s fifth book, scarce in the UK edition.

Highlands: Jargon (13b), [1962].. Pictorial wrappers over stiff wrappers. Some tan offsetting from wrapper to endleaves, otherwise about fine, though the glassine wrapper has a small chip. First edition. One of a total edition of 750 copies, of which this is one of 52 special copies printed on laid paper. Preface by Robert Duncan. Briefly inscribed and signed by Williams. JAFFE 22.

Copy #3 of 240 numbered copies, specially printed on part- rag paper and specially bound. Preface by Geoffrey Keynes. According to Keynes, these deluxe copies were printed prior to the trade copies. One of fifty numbered copies, specially bound, signed by the translator, from a total edition of 257 copies printed by Sebastian Carter at the Rampant Lions Press.

Previous owner name and notations on front free endpaper. Dust jacket has small chip missing from head of spine and two small stains to front panel. States First Published in Great Britain in 1949. ; 8 X 5.60 X 0.80 inches .

Approved recipes from the MIRRO Test Kitchen. 284 pp. Text with black and white photos is clean and unmarked with light tanning. No owner attribution. Very good copy of this scare early cooking title.

New York: Viking, 1983. First edition / First printing. Brown cloth spine, ochre paper-covered boards. Fine in very close to fine dust jacket with crease to the rear flap and one tiny edge tear. This original edition of In the Spirit of Crazy Horse was withdrawn by the publisher when Matthiessen and Viking were sued for libel by David Price, an FBI agent, and the former South Dakota Governor, William J. Janklow. After 4 years of litigation, the suit was dismissed, after 3 additional years of appeals, the book was finally reissued by Viking in an updated edition. This is the original suppressed edition.

The first book in this Nobel laureate's autobiography - covers her childhood in Africa and ends with her arrival in London in 1949, with the manuscript for her first book - 'The Grass Is Singing' - in her luggage. Frontispiece portrait and 16 pages of photographs. SIGNED by Lessing on the half title page. 419 pp.

2008 Knopf first edition. Author signed bookplate affixed to the half title page.
Condition of the book and dust jacket is Fine, with no significant condition issues. The DJ is protected in a new mylar cover.
