Jean Louis Brachet (1789-1858) French professor of pathology and a member of L'Académie imperiale de médecine. His book Traite de l' Hysterie was an important early modern study on the subject. Collectible. This is a rare first edition of this second volume of selected papers by William T. Powers. The book is in good condition but has been read and has some highlighting (on 12 pages in total) and some erased pencil notes on a few pages. The cover has a bit of wear and a slight tear (see pictures)
