Maroon cloth bound with gold titling to spine. FFEP in inscribed by previous owner, Bea White. FFEP has two areas of yellow discolouration where scotch tape used to be. Very minor tanning to block consistent with age. Jacket retains vibrant original colour. Minor sunning to spine. Minor to moderate edgewear with minor chipping at jacket head and spine. Small tear (one inch) with no loss of paper to back bottom edge of jacket. Inner jacket flap is price clipped. Overall, a very nice and tight copy of a scarce title! Brodart wrapped.

The dust wrapper, designed by John Alcorn, has some mild rubbing and wear throughout. The spine tips are worn and slightly soiled. The title is slightly worn. The rear panel is rippled and some wear at the tail edge. The internals are mostly clean throughout and free from previous owners inscriptions. The boards are free from notable wear, quarter-bound in pink cloth. The text blocks are free from foxing, though slightly stained on the side edge. This copy is free from previous owner's ink and is, overall, in very good (or better) condition. The story of a young woman, Marian, whose sane, structured, consumer-oriented world starts to slip out of focus.
