What makes Biblio.co.nz different from other book sites?

We support independent businesses

While Biblio.co.nz is one of the largest book sites out there with over 120 million books, that's not what really sets us apart. Did you know we are also the largest independent book marketplace in the world - entirely independently owned and operated? That means we are free to serve more than just the bottom line, and as such, we are deeply committed to supporting independent businesses everywhere (which probably includes you!).

Quality over quantity

While we're proud of our enormous selection of 65 million used, rare, and out-of-print books, what we're more proud of is the quality, both of the selection and of the booksellers we work with. Unlike some of our larger competitors, we're less concerned with the sheer quantity of our inventory and more concerned with making sure we provide our customers with the best product possible - even when that often means we turn down certain sellers and their inventory because we don't feel they meet the standards our customers expect of a Biblio.co.nz bookseller.

The customer is king (and we actually mean it)

It also means that customer service comes first for us. As a small independent business ourselves, we know how important it is to give and receive knowledgeable and personal attention in all of our business relationships. We promise you'll get top notch service from us - as will customers you send our way.

We believe in giving back to communities

In 2004, we started an independent 501(c)3 non-profit dedicated to literacy and education in Bolivia. In the time since, we've dedicated much of our time and profits to BiblioWorks, enabling it to build 16 community libraries, train hundreds of teachers and librarians and benefit tens of thousands of children in the poorest region of South America.
