Beverly Hills, CA: Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer [MGM], 1937. Vintage borderless reference photograph from the 1938 film musical, showing actor Buddy Ebsen, dressed as a jockey astride a horse. With an ink stamp to the verso identifying the film by its working title "Broadway Melody of 1937," along with the reference number 988-14B.
A backstage musical revue, most notable for featuring a young Judy Garland in an unexpectedly popular singing role which would eventually lead to her casting in "The Wizard of Oz" in 1939.
Set in New York.
