G.P. Putnam's Sons, 1970. Ex-library in pictorial hardcoverr binding, front pocket and date slip intact, square and tight with spine sticker, fray top and bottom of spine, soiled. General wear with slight musty odor. 151 pages. Bud Foster wins the Daytona 500, but some of the joy of victory is diminished when he and his four colorful companions decide to break up their racing team. At loose ends, Bud signs up to drive a 12-cylinder car on the Grand Prix circuit which takes him to Nurburgring and LeMans. He finds out that winning, and even losing, sometimes exact a stiffer price than the separation from old friends.. 8vo - Oblong. Hardcover. Good/No Jacket.
