Jean-Baptiste Christyn was a 17th-century Dutch diplomat of the Spanish Netherlands. Prior to serving as the Brabant government, he wrote an extensive and thorough history of the Brabant (European low countries) in which he outlined laws, customs, and people from all over the Netherlands and Belgium.
This enormous 17th-century folio covers Dutch and Belgian cities including Antwerp, Louvain, Bergen op Zoom, Geel, Steenokkerzeel, and many more.
