1840. Unbound. Near Fine. Autograph Letter Signed. [1]pp. Measuring approximately 7½" x 6". Two small rustholes from ink, old folds and two tiny tears, near fine. Addressed "My dear Sir," the letter reads in part "...Purchase, in addition [to] being cropped, has been wet with sea water at the back and is so rotten there that it cannot be rebound; Camden is the 'Sixth impression' and not the 'Seventh,' which is the true edition, and has one hundred pages more.
