About This Item

Signed Association Copy direct from Mrs. Vidal's estate.

New York : Random House, 1976. Stated First Edition. 2nd printing. VG cloth copy in a VG+, slightly sunned, non-price-clipped dust-wrapper. Front board a bit bowed. 364 pages; Octavo, original cloth.

Association copy, inscribed by the author,"Kit, all love to my step mother."

The recipient, Katherine "Kit" Vidal was Eugene Vidal's second wife; he married her in 1939 when she was a 20 year old model with the Powers Agency, only six years older than Gore. The elder Mr. Gore was a multimillionaire, who bought — and sold — a seat twice on the New York Stock Exchange, before devoting himself to collecting Chinese art and antiquities. An exceptional association.

Brodart protective cover added for $5.00. Please inquire before purchasing so I can invoice you if this is so-desired. Will be securely packaged and protected from dust/moisture. Shipped with insurance and tracking.
