About This Item
Hollywood: West Coast Warner Club and Oxford Press, 1947. First Edition . Original Wraps. Near Fine. 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. [photographs]. Hollywood: (West Coast Warner Club) and Oxford Press, 1947. Wraps, light blue textured paper with cutout exposing Warner Club seal on foil sheet. Quarto, 56 pp. Some wrinkling, particularly at corners; several holes for spiral binding torn through; small stain on back cover. Overall, better than Very Good, quite close to Near Fine. This 56-page softcover program/album from the 1947 tenth formal dinner-dance of the West Coast Warner Club contains messages from each Warner brother as well as C.L. Alleborn, Stephen Longstreet, James R. Webb and Peter Milne. Included also, of course, are B&W full-page photos of many of the top Warner Brothers stars of that time: Bruce Bennett, Humphrey Bogart, Jack Carson, Dane Clark, Joan Crawford, Bette Davis, Errol Flynn, Sidney Greenstreet, Robert Hutton - well, that takes it through the H's. Scarce piece of Hollywood history, a fragile one which never existed in large numbers. L201
