About This Item

Library of Congress, [Washington], first edition, 1961. Cloth, 8vo, 26 cm,. 123 pp. The results of an investigation prompted by the author's examination of two copies of 'Libro del Comandamenti di Dio' by Marco dal Monte Santa Maria. The book contains the earliest printed 'Recommended Reading List', and the author observed that in one copy this included 18 books, but in another there were 19, the additional item being 'Elthesauro de poueri in medicicina' - the 'Tesoro de poveri'. Why the discrepancy? Fine.
