2 Hardcover First Edition set of Boswell book's. They are both stated First Edition. "Boswell's London Journal" This is a First Edition of this first book in what became the series known as the Yale Editions of the Private Papers of James Boswell. This is the first publication of Boswell's own journal and thus a modern 18th century classic. It was edited with intro and notes by Frederick A. Pottle with a preface by Christopher Morley. In 1949 an american scholar stumbled upon the memoir of the nine months Boswell spent in London at age 22. Hardcover with Priced Dustjacket ($5.00), protected in a Demco mylar. There is no internal writing, pages are clean. "Boswell's in Holland". Hardcover with Price clipped dust jacket. The jacket is protected in a Demco. This is the second volume of the Yale Editions of the Private Papers of James Boswell. It is of his travels in Holland and his correspondence with Bell De Zuylen (Zelide). Pages are clean. Both DJ's display chipping to the head and heal of spine. We combine ship.
