It brings together works by fifty young international artists and presents two special projects by Paul Chan and Olafur Eliasson. Author Born in Stockholm in 1963, Daniel Birnbaum has been the curator of institutions and exhibitions at an international level, and has since 2001 been Rector of the Staedelschule international art academy in Frankfurt. It is the Director of the Visual Arts Sector of La Biennale di Venezia 2009, with specific responsibility as curator of the 53rd International Art Exhibition.
