Sidgwick & Jackson. Good with no dust jacket. 1921. First Edition. Hardcover. Seven clean hardbacks tightly bound in red cloth, cloth is faded and rubbed at edges, corners bumped. Oliver: endpapers tanned, no inscriptions. Mary Stuart: front cover very faded, endpapers tanned, no inscriptions. Robert Burns (1925): front edges of boards dented, small loss to spine label, endpapers tanned, foxing on some internal pages, annotation on half title. Bird in Hand (1928): spine label worn, back cover has splash marks, endpapers tanned, no inscriptions. Laying the devil (1933): front cover spotted and marked, endpapers tanned, no inscriptions. A man's house (1934): endpapers tanned, no inscriptions. Garibaldi (1936): page edges foxed, neat name and date (Sept 1936) on front endpaper. Bird in hand is a second impression, other 6 are first editions, first printings .
