The stories in this work represent a tiny but important piece of the lore of World War II. The author is preserving them because he found them simply to be great stories, stories that touch upon every aspect of the human condition. 185 pages, at the lower outer edge of the back cover there is a crease that measured diagionally is about 1 1/4 inches and extends back several pages into the book. No apparent underlining, no highlighting, no bookplates, no owner names, not ex-libris, no remainder marks, no smudges, no foxing. . A quite nice copy, available for immediate shipment; carefully packed.
