About This Item

Leipzig: The Albatross, 1937. Paperback. Good/poor. 12mo. Wraps. Dust jacket.
Scuffing and chipping to wrap edges. Bottom right corner of front wrap is chipped, and paper is chipped at header of spine. Dust jacket is complete but split at the folds and in 3 pieces. Several instances of underlining in pencil.
This is an uncommon early paperback printing of Lawrence's novel from the German publisher Albatross. Albatross' minimalist book design was particularly influential on later pressed like Penguin. An uncommon book that is especially rare in jacket, though the jacket is in poor condition.
