London: Adam and Charles Black, 1893. First Edition. Decorative Cloth. Good+/No Jacket. Gibb, William. Beautiful souvenir of the Scottish Literary Giant, author of the "Waverley Novels". Descriptive text by the Hon. Mary, Monica, Maxwell Scott. Beautifully illustrated with 25 Chromolithograph Plates and a Frontispiece, Painted by William Gibb, protected by tissue guard. Blue Quarter-cloth with Brown cloth covered boards. Gilt Lettering and Armorial Bearing to front. 12 1/2" Tall. Gift inscription as a wedding gift on ffep, dated 1899. Unfortunately the tissue guards have stuck to 3 of the Plates, including the frontis. 3 pages & 1 plate are detached. Cloth slightly faded and worn at spine ends. Book weighs 2.1 Kilos so Shipping outside UK will be extra. Please ask if you would like more Pictures, Information or a Shipping Quote. Size: Folio - over 12" - 15" tall
