Freeville, New York:: Lilliput Press,, 2020.. Edition of 25. 2 x 3 x 1.5" miniature book, flutter construction; 30 pages not including free end pages and pastedowns. Digitally printed with pigmented inks. 26 Individual collages with text on reverse side. 28 pocket pages (collages plus title page and colophon) with inserts. Illustrations originally handcolored then scanned for printing. Illustrations then "touched up" with pencils or over colored to bring out colors more defnitely. Signed and numbered by the artist. In the edition of 25, 20 slipcased and 5 "Cabinet of Curiosity" format. Carol Schwartzott: "This Abecedarium is a sweet little miniature book
Twenty of these are book cloth covered boards with printed label, boxed in a paste paper slipcase. The binding style comes from Hedi Kyle, a simple fold-out with pockets. Paper is transparent vellum, each pocket contains one collage, with a special saying about birds on back. "The collages themselves were done as original art, each 4 x 6" centered on a larger sheet of Rives BFK. There are 26 of these. All are reduced to miniature format, and a graphic letter in an interesting font completes the image. Each of these little cards can be removed from the book."

Description:
Watertown, Massachusetts:: Marcia Ciro,, 2000.. Edition of 25. 2.625 x 3.75" closed in 3 x 4.5 x 2.5" box. Ten books of digitized photos and original text printed with archival inks on Red River paper. Housed in a paper-covered box. Many of my books explore the difference between the familiar and the exotic, and the dichotomy between personal habits and foreign customs. In the set of accordion books, *TravelRiffs*, each book takes a series of pictures and "riffs" on them as you would a melody. The text itself, between the first and second sides, introduces an idea from the first side, like the first stanza of a song, and then completes the 'riff', leading the viewer to the second side, like a chorus."

The history and integrity of the buildings had been preserved in a way that now benefits the surrounding community. Often it seems that historical and cultural landmarks are preserved in a way that makes them more like museums - they become shells of the buildings they once were, and stand silent as tombs. But some of the sites I found on this tip have been resurrected - they maintain their histories while acting as a relevant and vibrant part of the community. I was moved by this transformation, and the people behind it. This book highlights eight locations that are a testament to the spirit of…

Description:
Atlanta, GA:: Nexus Press,, 1995.. 30 cards, 1 folded single sheet. Mohawk paper In card box with slip and slot closure. Sgined by the artist. Judy Anderson: "This book was created during an artist residency at Nexus Press where I worked with a press-man on a Heidelberg Press. 500 large sheets of Mohawk paper were overprinted with 15 offset litho plates images and trimmed to twenty-nine cards that fit into a paper box. The overprinted images depict the contradictory treatment of women in our contemporary world. Text from the daily news is collaged with text from advertising. The abstract and symbolic images of women respond to the objectification of woman as a beautiful object, to love, own, violate and control. " Colophon: "This book began in outrage, a response to the increasing reports of violence against women in the world. It's ending marks a beginning, of understanding and balance. Text fragments were taken from the daily news, juxtaposed with one woman's voice.
