Hardcover. 117 pp. Abel's place in his familiar mouse world had always been secure and comfortable, until a stormy summer flood carries him off and dumps him on a lonely island. After months pass, his soft habits disappearing, he fashions a warm nest, molds clay statues of his wife to stay sane and hopeful that he may one day return to her. Abel reexamines his easy way of life in his daily new adventure to survive. Flush with charming black & white illustrations.
