New York and London: Harper & Brothers, 1903. Journalist and war correspondent Davis used his position as Harper's editor and produced several lovely travel books. First published in 1895; this is a Near Fine copy of a Later Printing from eight years later. Blue cloth binding with titling andd decorations in gilt and red on the spine. Clean text; 219 page; very fresh and clear. A lovely book that is also distinguished by the pen-and-ink drawings by Charles Dana Gibson. Enjoy Edwardian Paris from the comfort of your reading chair!.
