Bound in cloth with silk ribbon marker & top and bottom headbands (photos). Top edge stained light gray. Corners are sharp with no signs of being bumped. No names or writing of any kind. Decorative endpapers (photos). This is an exceptionally made book even with sewn signatures.
This American Past edition of Abraham Lincoln was designed by Cynthia Krupat. The text is set in Monticello. The chapter titles are set in Bell, an18th century face. The text was composed by Maryland Composition Company of Baltimore and was printed by R.R. Donnelly & Sons Company of Crawfordsville, Indiana. The photographic inserts, jacket, endpapers, and onlay were printed by Rae Publishing Company of Cedar Grove, New Jersey. The slipcase was manufactured by Brick & Ballerstein, Inc., of Long Island City, New York.

I ship in boxes using Styrofoam pellets to protect books in transit. Keep in mind that shipping charges reflect the added costs of using boxes & foam pellets. However, small books and paperbacks may be shipped in bubble wrapper envelopes. Standard shipping Media Mail is my default shipping method. Media Mail can take up to 10 days or longer for delivery. Priority Mail is expedited delivery and it usually takes 2 to 3 days for delivery but that is not a guarantee. I use Priority Mail Flat Rate Boxes for expedited delivery and the cost is considerably higher than Media Mail - $17.50 for medium size Flat Rate Box. I will not risk shipping hardback books in Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelopes as this method does not sufficiently protect books. International shipping is substantially more costly than standard shipping rates within the United States. This is especially true of heavy books. The true cost will almost always be more than the standard rate so you should expect a request for additional substantial charges for shipping.
