Half title, excellent engraved frontispiece of 'La Roulette' with hand-colouring, 2 related newspaper articles lightly tipped-in to preliminaries. Contemporary maroon morocco over marble papered boards, t.e.g. edges rubbed, spine sunned. Collates half title; forntis; viii [9]-310pp not including pages311-438 which seem to have been expurgated from all copies, hoever this copy also excludes 439-456ppwhich is usually bound in at the end.Provenance: John Gerard Heckscher (bookplates to front pastedown and front-free endpaper).
