About This Item

Baton Rouge: Claitor's Publishing Division 1969 (1969) Introduction by W.J. "Bill" McGoffin, Lafayette, LA. Twelve informative chapters. Some of the content: " Home Reflects Acadiana History" , " Historic Cathedral Echoes With Memories", " Pilgrims Trek To Site of Miracle", " Mansion Tells of Past Glories", " Old Town Blends Romance, Charm, Legend", " Marksville's First Settlers", etc. Well illustrated with photographs. Book closes with a bibliography. Blue cloth boards with gilt title print on front board and spine. A yellow-brown stain on lower gutter prevades throughout ( about 1 1/2" and to a lesser degree on many pages). This does not affect text in any way. Name on ffep. Gilt on boards is bright, leaves very white. A clean copy.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good.
