First Edition, First Impression (Heinemann, 1955). Presentation inscription by the author to front endpaper dated March 1973. The third novel in the 'A Dance to the Music of Time' series, which comprises twelve novels in total. Signed or inscribed copies of this title are very scarce. Spine tips and corners rubbed; marks to boards at front and rear; spine slightly darkened; edges toned; binding cracked at front and rear, but all pages still firmly adhered. Original and unclipped dust jacket has minor restoration to spine tips and corners; light soiling to parts of rear panel and a couple of small closed tears to the top.
Synopsis
Anthony Powell was born in 1905. He served in the army during World War II. He is the author of seven other novels, and four volumes of memoirs, To Keep the Ball Rolling .
