Published by the author, Halstead, Essex, 2006, 1st edition. Large format paperback. Illustrated, laminated card covers. 10.75ins x 8.25ins, 207pp. Illustrations many in colour within the text. Includes family history, diary extracts and many appendices listing which paintings were displayed at which exhibitions. From the rear cover William Woodhouse, a Lancashire artist, had a love for all creatures great and small. He excelled at painting animals, especially horses and dogs. He painted birds, land and seascapes and a few family portraits. Woodhouse painted many local scenes around Morecombe, Heysham and surrounding area, including the men of the bay at work.
