The frontispiece portrait of Rowland Hill is a tipped in real photo. Tight and sound copy in the original publishers' red cloth and gilt binding. There is quite a lot of sun fading to the front board and spine area, also fraying at the spine ends. No inscriptions. x + 331 pages, many plates, facsimiles, sketches etc. Approx. size 10" by 8".
