On Title page, signature inscribed by author : " For Grant from his old sincere friend the Author" Original black leather on boards with gilt titles, border trim and decoratives to spine. Blindstamped decorative trim to borders inside gilt trim. Moderate soiling, rubbing and marks to cover. Spine: four slightly raised ribs, head & foot with mild wear and chips; gilt title over maroon label; light thin vertical creasing down spine. Mild wear to extremeties. Edges: age greying, light rubbed wear and soiling. Front & rear hinges with a little insect damage. Frontis: fldg map of The Area Affected by the Floods; moderately yellowed to margins mostly; short split at guttering, Light foxing to a few pages. All maps present and intact. Ghost shadowing of text page onto facing pages white space. Illustrated drawings. Binding is strong, As New. 431p. By Author & Inscribed. First Edition. Hb. VG/None.
