Bound copy (may have been a paper copy, the first title page is pale blue, followed by a tissue-guarded frontispiece, then a title page, identical to the blue page). Handwritten at the top of the blue page: Compliments of B.W. Crowninshield. This would have to have been Benj. Jr. as the senior Benj. was deceased when this volume was published. Benjamin jr. is listed in the book as a passenger. Marbled boards are rubbed, leather corners and spine are quite rubbed. Spine has gilt lettering. Marbled endpapers are intact, but the next blank pages and the blue page are loose in the binding. The blank pages at the rear are also loose. The rest of the interior (from the frontispiece to the end) is secure in the binding. The text pages have a mild vertical crease throughout. There are pencil marks or annotations on two pages.
