Printed by A Ward and sold by W Tesseyman, J Toon, H Sotheran, T Wilson, N Frobisher and R Spence, Booksellers in York, York, 1783. Second Edition with Editions. Hardcover. Good Condition/No Dust Jacket. Fill title: "Illustrated with copper-plates, consisting of different views, plans, &c. and translations of all the Latin epitaphs. To which are added, catalogues of the archbisops, deans, sub-deans, chancellors, treasurers, precentors, and succentors." Author given in library hub catalogue. Small volume in contemporary calf-leather, covers are rubbed, banded spine, leather over both external joints is cracked, wear at spine-ends, scuffed corners, sound binding, foxing to end-papers, pages are a little darkened but otherwise clean, all plates are fold-out to different degrees and some plates have ragged and darkened edges. There are two plates missing. Plates are not all titled but show: 1. At page 27 - The west front of the cathedral and some of the southern facade, Minster Yard and west front of St. Michael Le Belfrey with northern facades of adjacent buildings; 2. At page 32 - South facade of the Cathedral and Minster Yard; 3. At page 33 - East facade ot the Cathedral and the Chapter House; 4. At page 34 - Plan of the cathedtral showing structural elements, tombs, screens, steps etc.; 5. At page 35 - "The ichnography (plan) of the Cathedral church of York with the new Pavement" and identified tombs; Between pages 48 and 49: 8. "The west window"; 9. "The East window"; 10. "The Memorial window"; 11. At page 52 - "South cross end" with rose window; 12. At page 53 - Tomb/side chapel with window (glazing showing figure with sprig in hand) and levels above; 13. At page 54 - "North cross end" (long split on upper fold); 14. Following 13 - Doorway arch wuth window above. [10], 136. Contains black and white plates (full page illustrations).
