London, The Bodley Head, 1943. 2nd Edition. 255 pages. Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Fair. Illustrated with 32 plates in half-tone, 2 in colour and a map. The book is in very good condition in a good dust jacket. The jacket is edge worn, chipped with a little loss at the spine tips and corners and there are a number of closed tears. SIGNED and inscribed to R Ponsonby, 1943 on the front free end paper. Scarce signature.
