In original slipcase, which is lightly edge worn and scuffed, VG overall. Armorial bookplate of the Selden family and ex libris of Lynde Selden. Across the Plains is the second part of Stevenson's three-part travel memoir, in which he describes arriving in New York as an immigrant from Scotland and traveling across the United States to Monterey, California. It was written from 1879-80 and first published in 1892.
