London: Chapman and Hall, 1837.. 12mo and 8vo. Green half-calf & marbled boards, the spine stamped in blind and lettered in gilt on burgundy panels. Frontispiece portrait of J.R. Planche. A little wear to the tips and the base of the spine, moderate foxing and some discoloration to some of the plates, a very good copy. This is a bind-up of twelve plays, each with its own title page and a frontispiece by Pierce Egan (one play has an additional plate as well). Contributors include James Sheridan Knowles, J.R. Planche, J.S. Coyne, Benjamin Webster, Edward Fitz-Ball, Charles Dance, John Maddison Morton, George Blink, and R.B. Peake. This is Volume One only (WorldCat contains a listing citing "13 Volumes", 1840). Scarce.
