Advice for late 18th century farmers on a variety of subject including: the character of a farmer, importance of manure, labor, exchanging work, nurseries, orchards, cyder, keeping a day-book, contracting debts, clothing and diet, engaging in lawsuits, good neighbourhood, and education. The appendix is an alphabetical collection of advice on a wide variety of practical farming subjects. 20th century tan leather binding in smooth calf with gilt spine lettering, renewed endpapers, 6.5" tall, 64 pages plus errata page. Covers very good with little wear, text block sound, lower and outer margins trimmed quite closely but without loss of text, page age-toned throughout with some slightly darker dampstaining to the upper corner throughout, text readily legible, name of Prosper Rudd on title page, no other markings. . First Edition. Hard Cover. Good. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
