Columbus: Printed by Charles Scott, 1843. First Edition. Softcover. Very Good. 14pp; errata slip tipped in at page 13. Neatly removed from a nonce volume, and spine reinforced with archival paper. 8.25" x 5.25" Ridgway (1783-1861), a Staten Island carpenter, made his way to Columbus, Ohio in 1822, served in the US Congress as a Whig for three terms, worked as a bank director for 20 years, &c. His topic in this pamphlet is oppressive taxation. [American Imprints 43-4326.].
