About This Item
Longman's, Green and Co., 1940. Blue cloth boards. Front cover has a not yet faded rectangle, suggesting a paste down title? at one time. Quite faded silver gilt letttering on the spine. Corners and top and bottom of spine are bumped. Foredges are darkened with age. Inside front cover is a pasted down personal library sticker. Ffep has has the inside flap from the bookjacket pasted in. The date 1963 is circled in the upper right corner. Inside back cover bears a 1952 stamp, and 1963 in ink. Fully indexed text is in lovely condition. A fascinating collection of letters in this biography. Lovely. them.
