Carter Glass (1858-1946) was born in Lynchburg, Virginia and was the Secretary of the Treasury under Woodrow Wilson. He helped establish the U.S. financial regulatory system and was instrumental in setting up the Federal Reserve System. In this work he discusses the history and early aspects of the Federal Reserve System.
