The story of a Roman noble of the 17th Century who was imprisoned for life by the Inquisition, but escaped in 1693. It was published in French in Cologne in 1725. Symons relates that here were only six known copies when he discovered the existence of this inspired work and set about translating it. The translation is preceded by Arthur Symons lengthy (54 pages) & erudite introduction. Size: Octavo (standard book size). 252 pages. Binding is tight, covers and spine fully intact.
