Green pictorial cloth printed in gilt, black, blue, purple and white, black and white frontis plate, additional black and white illustrations, 333 pages. covers worn and rubbed, fraying to corners and spine ends, hinges internally lightly cracked but secure, text block sound, pages age-toned with intermittent foxing (age speckling), decorative name stamp on half-title, no other markings. Missing plates are those opposite pages: 51, 152, 182, 247, 259, 269, 272, 298, 312, 317.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Fair. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
