New York: New Directions, 1955. First American edition, 1955, with the signature of author Davis Grubb - best known for his book The Night of the Hunter - on the front free endpaper. Gray cloth with dustjacket. The book has light edge rubbing good hinges, firm text block, clean pages, no other names or markings. The mylar protected dustjacket is not priceclipped [3.50] is also in very good conditon with some shelf soil to the white background of the rear panel which has a short closed tear to the upper edge, some very tiny chips to corners and spine ends.. First US Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Very Good. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
