Methuen & Co Limited, 1962. 1st Edition. Hardcover. VG. 1st UK Edition, 22.3 x 30.3 cm red cloth backed pictorial paper covered boards with 8s 6d net price on the lower board. Blue and white pictorial endpapers, [2] 62pp. There is a little light marking and some small scuffs to the lower board with three small patches of fading along the bottom edge. The upper board has some light marking and scratching. There is rubbing to the edges and corners which have some surface abrasion and loss of paper. The spine is a little rubbed with some surface abrasion, a little pushing to the foot but with no splits or fraying. Internally clean, without name, inscription or bookplate ant just a hint of toning to the margins of the pages. All in all a nice 1st UK Edition copy of this Tintin adventure set in South America.
