Delightful illustrated Children's story about the adventures of a Chivalrous Golliwogg and his friends, Sarah Jane & Peggy, the 2 wooden Dolls. First in the Golliwogg Series of Charming and Exciting adventure stories. Beautifully illustrated with many Full-Page Colour Plates and In-Text Sepia illustrations. The story is told in Verses by Florence's Mother, Bertha Upton. Brown cloth spine with paper-covered boards illustrated with Golliwogg and the 2 Dolls on the front. Endpapers illustrated with Swans & Ships. Landscape Format Book, 8 3/4" Tall x 11 1/4" Wide. 64 Pages, 590g. Wear and rubbing to boards (see photo). Some edge wear. No inscriptions. A little plain pencil scribble on a few pages. 2 pages have 1 or 2 closed marginal tears repaired with tape. An occasional very light finger mark or spot of foxing.
