A very good or very good plus copy in scarce (good plus) dust jacket. Original publisher's blue buckram cloth - gilt embossed to the spine and to the front board. Amongst a lot of other material and a memoir it also includes some 'fresh' material: 'It comprises several poems which for various reasons, as he explains, were left out of More Poems, and also a selection from the nonsense verses with which A.E.H., a profuse writer in that genre, used to delight his intimates.' No inscriptions. Upper edge dyed blue as it should be. Lower edge rough-cut. A little spotting to the leading fore-edge. Some scattered slight spotting throughout - not heavy in any way. A little fading to the spine at the head and the tail where the overlying jacket is chipped. The jacket has not been price-clipped. It has some small chips to the corners and more notable chips to the head and tail of the spine - but with no loss of text/image. There are also other nicks and very short tears to the peripheries - the larger ones expertly repaired. Some uniform toning to the spine of the jacket. A very good or very good plus copy in good plus scarce surviving jacket.
