Paperback, with covers stiffened by the addition of marbled note-book inserts inside front and rear covers. 370 pages. Geographical and Alphabetical Indexes. Illustrated with over 1,300 photographs and 3 position silhouettes. Second edition. An early edition of this comprehensive war time identification guide covering 350 aircraft from the United States, Great Britain, Germany, Japan, Italy, Russia, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Spain and France, Also included are "Barrage Balloons, Blimps, and Rotational Wing Aircraft." No previous ownership marks. Indexed tabs curled from use and re-enforced with clear tape which has yellowed over time. Covers protected by old acetate wrappers, taped on interior, with transfer staining to first and ending leaves. Overall a tight, internally clean and sound copy. A well preserved copy in spite of "refinements". A scarce. early edition. Fair to good. .
