Title page printed in red and black. Index of Contents. Profusely illustrated with full page and black and white illustrations. Griset, French born, the family moved to London early on. He fastidiously drew animals at the London zoo. His technique possesses the faculty of investing animals with human expression, without ever causing them to lose their own identity, or making them look ridiculous. Victoria and Albert Museum has a collection of his work. Backstrip lacks one centimeter square at upper backstrip, rubbing to backstrip joints.
